THEMES

Many young adults these days are failing to launch, for economic, psychological and sometimes psychiatric or substance-related reasons - and many parents are at their wits' end. But kids are for life, not just for Christmas.

​This series explores how so-called helicopter parents have inadvertently made a rod for their own backs and need to take back control of their own lives.

SYNOPSIS

High octane couple MIKE and CARRIE love their kids to bits and want to see all four of them happy - but at the same time, they are determined to enjoy an active retirement. The two goals are not necessarily in sync. 

​How can they disentangle themselves from their dysfunctional adult children’s lives when they keep on bouncing back home?
